RhinocerosAI vs Peec AI
The localisation benchmark, out of Berlin. The one competitor whose methodology we take seriously as a standard.
Competitor facts as published · checked 2026-08-27
For European multi-market coverage, Peec is the strongest option and its auditability is the closest thing the category has to best practice. For South Africa and for agency white-label, the gaps are ours to fill.
| Peec AI | RhinocerosAI | |
|---|---|---|
| Localisation | 80+ in-country locations, 115+ languages, Europe-centric | Market-as-config; South Africa built properly first |
| Auditability | Repeatedly cited as best practice in the field | Provenance plus stored raw answers on every figure |
| Engine pricing | Per-engine add-ons, roughly €20–30 each | All six bundled in every tier |
| Africa coverage | Not a focus | The whole thesis |
| White-label depth | Limited on lower tiers | Core to the product |
Peec is the competitor we measure ourselves against on method rather than on positioning. Independent reviewers repeatedly single it out for auditability, and its in-country location coverage is the serious version of what most tools claim.
Where Peec is the better buy
- Multi-market European coverage. Eighty-plus in-country locations is a real moat and we do not have it.
- You want breadth of language now, not depth in one market. 115+ languages against our two-going-on-three.
Where we differ
Depth in one market beats breadth across a hundred, if the one market is yours. South African correctness is not a location toggle: it is the engine mix weighted to local usage, four locally-live Google languages, AI Overview availability modelled as a tri-state, local-intent rules that stop a map-pack query being scored as an AI miss, and desktop/mobile treated separately. A generic in-country location gets you the geography and none of the rest.
The per-engine add-on. Charging separately for each model is the single most-cited pricing complaint in this category, and it is structurally hostile to an agency: your client asks about Gemini, and the answer is a change order.
Run both, on the same category
The only comparison that settles anything is the one you run yourself. Bring a client category, run it here and there in the same week, and ask both of us to open the answers behind a figure.
